The Girl in the Steel Corset was a thoroughly enjoyable read. Easy, captivating and quick. Definitely a good choice for a lazy day summer read. The author, Kady Cross, did a fine job of presenting the characters’ roles which were quickly understood and the choice to like or dislike was one well established in the story. The heroine, Finley Jane, although not like any of your current friends, was likable and as you read you lived the story with her. Finley’s character was destined for greatness and you hurt and struggled along with her page by page.
I look forward to reading the next installment, The Girl in the Clockwork Collar. I am hoping for much more action between Griffin and Finley though.
